When I read over Southans essay again I feel like I got a better understanding of it. Working in our groups and discussing the text and our opinions about the reading made it more interesting. Hearing your peers thoughts makes you expand your ideas and it’s a good discussion. You are able to ask questions and able to answer some as well. Most of my opinions about the blog stayed the same. When looking at the website it helped me understand more about the Effective Altruism. I discovered that people can donate their money to the EA and then you can pick which area you want to donate to and then the donation goes to the most needed area off the topic you choose. I did not know they did that until I read the website so I thought that was very interesting.
I think that glossing the text was very helpful for me. It gave me a better understanding and made it easier. By looking up the words I did not understand made the text make more sense and more understandable.
