Overall I really think Alexis’s “Let’s Talk About Art” project was the best and it truly had the most meaning. It takes a lot of courage to go in front of a class and do a presentation about an incident that occurred in your life. She expressed how music is a type of art and how songs can bring people together to remember someone special. Alexis and her family listen to this song called “Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing” by Aerosmith. This song reminds her and her family about someone who is not with them anymore. Everytime they hear that song it brings them back to the memories and makes them think of the remembrance of her sister. Songs have the power to make you think of a certain memory, someone special to you, or a day that you have lived. Music is a good way to cope with situations and it is nice to be able to relate to song lyrics. It makes you realize that at the end of the day you are not alone and soon the pain will heal. Alexis did a fantastic job writing about this project and presenting it. Even if it was really hard to do she still did it and presented the project very well.
